How might you go about making this tap 'fuel tight'?

Ah! Beat me to it, Chris! When giving my tap and quick overhaul, I found the Vitron seals to be hopeless; but cork carefully turned down and then soaked in petrol for a while worked much better. Last year I was fortunate to find a NOS tap; I left it sitting in a bath of petrol for a week, adjusted nothing, fitted it and - perfection. The original tap I donated to Dave Mann to work his magic on

New corks are available from A7 components and once you put them into service do not let them dry out.
