A paddock scene at the 1934 Eifel Grand Prix with Auto Unions to the fore, but lurking in the background is one of the two Ulsters campaigned by Walter and Werner Baumer. Photo submitted by Geoff Harrison.

Would be lovely to know a bit more about these two cars. Does anyone know anything or even have more photos of them?

I can only add the following. Others may be able to add more or even supply photographs.

Walter drove the Works supported Ulster in the Berlin GP on 21st May 1933, but did not finish. His team mates were all driving " Ducks ".

He then drove the same car a week later at the Nürburgring. His result is not recorded.

( Bobby Kohlrausch who had a contract with Austin's to drive one of the Ducks, competed in seventeen races across Europe throughout 1933, and with excellent results in most. Again he was supported by the Works throughout )

Production of the Ulster car had ceased by the beginning of 1934 but certain cars were still being Works supported.

Werner drove the Walter Baumer's Ulster at the Avusrennen in May 1934 but did not finish due to mechanical problems.

Later in the June, Werner took a 3rd in the car at the Felsberg Mountain Race.
