Maybe not graceful, but I think it has some charm, especially in this condition.  Apparently it has a Whatmough head of some sort?

I suppose the idea came from some of the other Coupes around at the time?  Swallow, Mulliner, Avon etc.

From a quick look on-line, boat-tails didn't usually have bench seats.
