Bicycle brake cable, perhaps?

It’s the knob assembly at the dash end that’s the problem
I’m sure something will turn up ?

k8207418, What is the problem with your cable pull. When I first acquired my Ruby the knob assembly was tight to pull and had to be pushed back in by hand. On removing from the outer I found a bodged attempt to solder a new cable to the shank of the knob. A bit of work with a file soon removed the access solder and it has worked correctly ever since.

John Mason.
Would you believe it "Her who must be obeyed" refers to my Ruby as the toy.

The pull I have is not from an A7
I’m looking for an original design that fits the dash that’s all

Most motor factors will sell you a ready built up cable and outer that you can cut to length. An example: https://www.beal.org.uk/automotive/vehic...cable.html

You then cut off the plastic handle and glue on a more appropriate starter knob. I've done that a number of times for starter or choke pulls and all work fine.

Hi

Is this what you are looking for? I don’t know if it is Ruby or not but it matches the photos on your other thread.

Note the cable needs replacing.

If you’re interested send me your address via a pm and I’ll post it to you.

In return £10 donation to MacMillan cancer fund please.

Cheers

Howard

the starter pull of a 2 CV is similar and does not need that much modification this (https://www.franzose.de/en/Alle/Alle/Anlasser/ANR14588/) is a link to a supplier in Germany but there should be a Citroen 2CV specialist within the UK as well I'd think . BTW the 'D' stands for "demarreur"... gives a little French touch to your Ruby...
