The car: 1937 Opal APE

Repainting the Valve chest cover. It will be all black, but what is the correct colour to pick out the Austin Logo?



Red or white?



So far, just undercoated.

I’m not sure the Austin logo was picked out in a contrasting colour, all the ones I’ve seen are black...I’d be happy to be corrected!

Reckers, That only works if you have the accompanying black and white chequered go faster stripe. As per the 1960’s mini’s. That is car not skirt.

That's a relief, I'm not the only sad soul who felt it necessary to spend those minutes picking out the name in red. Or indeed responding to a forum question as to which colour.

It's a bit like a broken pencil to be honest - you can't see the damn thing anyway (well not much of it). Mine is red because that's what was handy.
