SU Inlet Manifold
#11
I have one of those bronze inlet manifolds in my Auckland workshop it came off and is going back onto an Arrow foursome. I don't know where or when they were made and was looking at getting a small number copied a couple of years back, there was little interest so I shelved the project. it appears they are designed to replace the aluminium updraft inlet manifold when using a early exhaust and if mounted the opposite way up to the photograph lower and SU sufficiently to get enough flow of fuel from a scuttle tank. As Jon noted it is relatively simple to carve a similar inlet from a Ruby manifold.

As my car isn't LC&ES eligible it doesn't matter what year the carburettor is. I have run it as shown with a flexible hose from Burlen on gravity and can empty the tank.
I have since returned to the Zenith updraught and get similar if not better performance from it.
