Duncan's body work course
#8
An excellent weekend, many thanks to Duncan for his expert tuition and allowing us the use of his facilities.  The weekend was helped by the sub-tropical weather, Duncan's new unit enjoying a south facing aspect, so the full width door was open all the time.
Mark Atkinson was busy forming the front part of Slippery Anne's side bulge, a most complicated piece of work.  Bill Gardner was experimenting on how to form the alloy cover for his Cup's spare wheel housing, before turning his attention to the wings. At the end of the day he had what appeared to be several lengths of aluminium guttering!
The rest of us learned how to form a pedal blister, doubled skinned glove box lids and wings.  Tony Betts was probably top of the class.  At one point Nick Turley was told to make himself an aluminium dunces hat and stand in the corner!
A weekend of constant good humour and witty banter, some singing from Duncan and we all went away much wiser.  You really cannot have too many hammers!
