Thanks dave,
Must admit, we are loving it as usual.
In fort smith tonight, and have 2,500 miles on the rental car.
We fell upon a flee market today, and found what we have been looking for for years.
A vintage coin operated set of shop scales in working order. It's taken 10 years to find them at a sensible price, rather than the usual $1,500 and these ended up being stoopidly cheap.
Although they are heavy enough to feel like we have two passengers.
With your gearbox problem, asking how long it has been since running them. I find with cheaper bearings on dynamos. They dry out and get noisy very quickly.
It could be the same with the gearboxs, I noticed on older gearboxes with old oil. They stay lubricated almost indefinite.
Didn't get to email you after beaulieu, so will chat when I return.
Tony.
