Salt v Rain

Hi

Despite the fact that it rained a for a while last night, I did not take my Seven out today - wondering if there had been enough rain to wash away the salt.  Anyone know how much rain it takes, please?  (There was definitely some grit still on the roads, especially at junctions - but salt?)

i have salt on my chips - It only takes a couple of mouthfuls before the salt seems to have gone.

When I first raised this earlier, my wife suggested tasting the road - I suggested delegating this to our young grandson, who is happy to taste most things, and the conversation lapsed at that point.  However, I do think salt is easily washed away - hence the frequency with which it is applied.
