Good progress, Bill.
I would be a bit concerned about the oil pressure, which should go off the scale on a 0-10psi gauge on start up. What grade oil have you put in the engine? I was told by someone knowledgable that straight 30 oil is best on a newly rebuilt engine, draining and renewing after the first few miles.
Another thought is that the oil pressure relief valve ball may not be making a perfect seal. I have heard of this happening even though the ball bearing appears to be in perfect order.
Radiator drain taps are always a pain, I always remove the o/s number plate bolt to lower the plate out of the way, it saves grazing your knuckles!
Good to hear that you have three forward speeds and one reverse!
