In open top cars I tend to wear earplugs as I too suffer from tinitus. It started in my motorcycling days and if I can I avoid too much loud and high frequency noise. I went to an audiologist who took moulds in wax and made custom fitted plugs for each ear ( in different colours port and starboard). I strongly recommend them to all but most wait until it’s too late of course. I wish I’d done it years before I needed to …
