Hi Tony. Thanks for reply. Yep I agree there is a casting at end but only as part to assemple to the radius arm as a bolt. The front end is in very good condition as did jack up to check each wheel. I have aprox 3 degrees at best camber angle which is not enough to give adiquate trail to get a reasonable self centreing.
As in my first post I had a Swallow in bout 1954 so I know they were not as bad as so many guys relate as I had no problems re steering then, for sure brakes were just as bad as today.
I reckon there has to be at least 5 degrees camber just on an engineeing basis to get any idea of reasonable steering as the camber angle is to give trail. There must be an answer as lke said no probs with a 25 year old one!! My brother bought my swallow of me and second day left Hillingdon middlesex in the morn to go to Porlock hill he got there and got up the hilll and came back you could not do that with th steering as I have it.
