Bacon slicer - all screwed up.
#5
Problem sorted.  The end plate K in the diagram has a small slot in it which matches to a small register on the main frame.  Mine had not been positioned properly.  (May have been due to my fiddling).  Now to tackle the main reason for removing the starter.  The main stud through the casing to which is attached the cable from the foot switch had been subjected to a Heath Robinson repair and had sheared.  So I need to make up a new one (unless available somewhere?) and then ensure that it is properly insulated where it protrudes through the casing (Woodrow lists 8 items including mica washers, paxolin washers and a fibre shield.)  Alternatively I could take the cable from the switch and feed it through the casing and attach directly to the rigid field.  Life is never boring when you have a Seven, is it?
