After some years using 3.50 x 19 tubes folded as Chris Gould suggests in his Ulster Guides I followed up this option for my SWB Saloon. The problem with the 3.50 x 19 tubes is that they don't fully fill the seat envelope and, whilst comfortable even for long distances, they didn't have a good look.
The larger tubes are Vittoria 4.00-4.90 x 26 'Fat' MTB and mine came from www.planetX.co.uk £ 11.97 inc VAT and delivery for a pair. Folded as CG recommends they now fill the envelope properly, are again very comfortable (as long as you only put a small amount of air in them) and the seats look the part and at a pretty minimal cost. I'm delighted with them.
Photo shows as fitted with the larger tubes. They need a thin layer of foam/rubberised horsehair fitting to remove the final, slight, imperfections but it's not a priority; a job for one day, perhaps!

Edited: My tubes were £2.99 each at PlanetX. Just checked their web site and they're now £1.99! www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/TUVITFATMTBUB/vittoria-fat-mtb-inner-tube
