anybody know what the thread is that holds the door cappings/chrome handle on a MK1 Ruby are. ???

In those very small sizes the threads are very similar. BSF, BA and metric. I used screws that fit.

They are 3/16 bsf, from memory.

The Bakelite covers use the same fastenings as electrical wall socket cover plates, see here:  https://www.amazon.co.uk/Quality-M3-5mm-...8831978282

Beware there are different threads on some of the apparent similar looking screws for wall socket plates.
