SM5 Switch Panel. Anyone repair them ?
#11
There are 2 variants. One has the coil of wire and a 3.5 volt bulb. The other has no wire coil and a six volt bulb.
It is easy to convert the 3.5 volt to six either by replacing the wire with a resistor as Dave suggests or removing the wire and fitting a 6 volt bulb.

I simply use a 12v bulb.   Works fine.

The 20-0-20 ammeter suggests a 12 volt application, probably an Austin 12/4.

Mike,
My RN has a 20-0-20 switchpanel. It’s the original one as fitted.
Cheers,
Dave.

You'll have to be quick!
