A bright, crisp morning run over to the starting point at the Dore Moor Garden Centre which conveniently allowed me to purchase a couple of pairs of by-that-time-much-needed gloves....... pretty parky out there having opted to go with no side-screens!
A most enjoyable run through the Dark Peak, taking in the glories of the famous Surprise View, Hathersage, the Hope
Valley, Chapel en le Frith, Dove Holes, Wormhill, Litton, Cressbrook, Monsal Head and the Longstones. Lots to see and plenty of uphills, downhills, twists and turns giving, in places, a taste of what it might have been like to drive a 7 back in the day.
We finished at the Crispin in Great Longstone, enjoying a good lunch and some fine company.
