A friend purchased a ‘new’ starting dog for me but it is quite different from ones I have seen and I don’t think it will work on two counts. Starting handle shaft not long enough to engage with it and fan pulley hole too close to engine. I have two questions. What engine is it for? Who supplies the one I need?

I have one of those short dogs not sure what it fits. Try Mckenzie for the correct dogs

I have a stock of new Mag dogs Ross, they are in storage up in Auckland but I am heading up that way at the end of July so could pick one up for you if you get stuck.
