Know your road signs ?
#21
For dave mann,

Thank you for the phone call earlier.

Here is a picture I took last week.

If you zoom in, you should be able to see the bracket better.

It's made to go round a hexagonal post, and takes three enamel signs.

And yes I bought the sign for the bracket as it's a fantastic piece of design.

There is one sign left on it, but it was made to take three.

Thank you for all the replies, tony.

hi steve,

lovely.

these are often sold in sets,

the thing i like about them, is they show the signs as they would be on posts.

because the value and collectability of the originals have gone up over the years. most have been seperated from there posts to try get more money as singles.

ill post a picture of my favourate road sign for you tomorrow.

Thanks Tony. These Dinky Toy signs are a treasured possession given to me by my father a long time ago.  Unfortunately the box they came in is long gone.

Hi Steve,

Pic below.

This is one of my favourites.

They are all commonly known signs, but it's a rear survivor, for them all to be on there original post.

Remember the rule "Circles warn, triangles inform"?

Another one not many get to see.

The double sided garage sign is fearly common, but well sort after with the word garage.

The rear bit is it's original hanging bracket it's on.

Tony.
