good place to get Austin 7 parts
#1
Hello,

I'm looking for a place that sells and ships Austin 7 parts. Specifically I need full sets of both front and rear brakes.

* Also posted an inquiry in the 'wants' forum, since I'm open to both buy here and from a shop.

Thank you all!

I personally use the Seven Workshop, excellent service. But to be impartial there are others who advertise online and in the association magazine.

I am always interested in any information about Rosengart details or current owners.

If yo go to the top of this page, click on 'Website Home', scroll down to 'Cherished Suppliers' and all will be revealed !

This is a much more complete list (and we're on it!): https://oldcarservices.co.uk/

The "Cherished Suppliers" list on here is a lot more limited and from personal experience it's impossible to get yourself added to it!

I have already replied to you suggesting a photo of what you need. The other thing worth doing is to look up parts lists in the Austin Seven Archive. You would then be able to specify your needs by part number, which is far more specific than a verbal description. Go to  http://archive.a7ca.org/collections/hand...rts-lists/  I suggest that  http://archive.a7ca.org/wp-content/uploads/PL_1406D.pdf  may show what you need. I know that this does not relate to Ulsters but it is likely to be the right one if your car has been converted to hydraulic brakes. It will not show the hydraulic system but does show the relevant shoes and drums.

hi martin,

as a respected trader you should be on the cherished suppliers list.

i dont know if it will bring you trade in? as ive never had a customer suggest he found me on the cherished suppliers list on the forum?

its probably that 98% of forum readers roughly know who makes what.

i am in a simular possition as yourself, id like to update the picture on the supplierslist. but who does that?

robert,

it is a nice suggestion of useing the part numbers from austin. but i dont think any of the parts suppliers use those numbers.

i find if someone is unsure, an email with pictures is best.

thanks tony

I believe David Cochrane of A7 Components does.

I am having difficulty in accessing the suppliers from the list on the home page- is it just me ?

I do have them all listed separately so not a problem but new members might have a problem.

New suppliers should be able to add or upgrade as well !
