I owned an Alba no 1 shaper and did lots of keyways on it, customising Pulleys and sprockets for a local bearing and seals company and A7 timing gears.When moving 8 or 9 years ago I decided to sell it and was lucky to get £150 for it on Ebay.
The Alba was the smallest industrial shaper,floor standing they made I believe.
I remember going to look at some other machine a few years ago and was offered a large shaper ,about 8ft long,for about £200 in really good condition.
