Benjamin Horn
#1
Hello
Does anyone have a photograph of the internals of a benjamin horn please?
Mine isn't working properly, and ever has in my ownership. It obviously has been messed about with. The outer mounting ring is cracked in two places (but still held in place with the fixing screws), and there's an odd mix of fibre washers and modern screws. The magnet moves the other half successfully, but it just moves with a single movement and doesn't vibrate. I'm guessing the washers need more careful setting up to get distances correct, but I'm not totally sure how the thing functions ?
Any advice welcome

I forgot to add that my horn has a replacement mounting ring supplied unmachined by Tony Leslie some years ago.

Is anyone still supplying replacement mounting rings or any other parts for these, I need to make one for a horn I am restoring obviously easier if they are available than for me to make patterns and cast one.
