Copper inlet manifold?

Whilst on the topic of manifolds from pipe fittings on my RP with SU I tried a manifold like the original but from two galvanised pipe ebows all brazed on. But althugh internally more like a Nippy manifold it seemed no improvement on the narrow passage standard. At over 1 inch probably too big for a little modified car.


Presumably the manifold never gets red hot as it stayed together.

Something like the above using early manifold better although moves air cleaner out towrd bonnet.

Just back from the welders - Need to refurbish the SU carb now.
