I saw you in your Box today David. I had been to inspect one of our bridges on the Caernarfon Bypass haul road, and went back to the office cross country.

You were heading towards Bala on the Llangynog road. I was heading the opposite way in a filthy silver ford Focus and did give you a thumbs up. I didn't think turning round to follow you and introduce myself was a good idea in the present circumstances.

Your box looked super coming the other way.

Yes, I saw the silver Focus and the 'thumbs up'. I did wave in reply. I was coming back from Llangynog having fed the horses. I frequently get a friendly wave or 'thumbs up' from other motorists when out and about in the Seven, so its nice to have someone identify themselves.

The Seven has been doing duty as my daily driver for the past three weeks. I acquired a Ford Fiesta (Fiasco?) at the beginning of the month to get to grips with the Polo which is showing its age a bit and the day I insured and taxed it is the day it broke down with a major engine management problem. All this modern 'electrickery' is quite beyond me, so the car had to go to a Ford specialist on Deeside to be fixed. Hoping to get it back on Monday, when we shall see if its as reliable as the Seven!
