It has features not unlike the Raleigh 20 I keep "fit" (slightly active) on, assembled from bits souvernired from the inorganic collection 20 years ago.
I would be worried about a major frame fracture as I do on the 20 (local assembly omitted a reinforcing bar).
There is huge snobbishness and fashion in the bicycle world. The weight and perfomance of a quality mass produced sports bike of 40 years ago would be almost identical.
Incidentally if anyone uses a mind numbing indoor exercycle i recommend thay swap it for the real thing, however bassic.
30 mph downhill is as exciting as 50 mph in a stock Seven.
