I spent much of Friday tracing a fault on the indicators, which, after much faffing around, including testing all the wiring, the bulb holders and remaking all the earth connections, turned out to be the flasher unit itself. Fortunately, I had one in the spares drawer, so problem solved (eventually).
I have been using the little car to do the running around - shopping in the town and visiting friends this weekend, but it hadn't been for a decent run. So, I decided this morning to take it up to Llyn Celyn to see how the construction of the new spillway and other maintenance work on the dam was going. The work started about 2 years ago and is anticipated to be finished sometime towards the end of this year, according to Welsh Water's website..

After over 60 years, feelings about the dam still run high! For those who do not speak welsh, the sign reads: 'Remember Celyn' (the village that was flooded to make way for the dam was Capel Celyn)

The traffic on the A4212 Bala to Trawsfynydd road was quite heavy, so, at Fron Goch, I turned off and followed the lanes through to Llandderfel.

Going back up the track leading to (inter alia) my bungalow and finally Home.
A total of 22 miles covered.
