The vanes should last a long while providing your supercharger is fed with clean filtered air with enough oil in the fuel to lubricate them.
Having your car set up on a rolling road dyno would determine the ideal ignition timing and possibly carburettor settings.
A fitted boost gauge will give you an idea of what is going on if performance drops
