My apologies for a sideways reference to McGonagles most famous, or notorious poem. Austin Seven owners who attend the VSCC Lakeland Trial as entrants, officials or spectators will have noticed a number of bridges by Bouch designed for the Cockermouth Keswick & Penrith railway, all much strengthened following the Tay Bridge disaster. Bridge spotting as well as bouncing!

Bridge spotting as well as bouncing! I did wonder about your inquiry about a bridge in Bala, but didn't quite make the connection between your post and The 'Beautiful bridge of the silvery Tay'. 'O beautiful bridge of the silvery Dee' doesn't have quite the same feel, somehow.
