Dear Austin seven experts, I am looking for guidance to choose a body for my Austin 7 Mark 1 (ARQ) Ruby. I have attached two photos one photo is my restoration project car (Green color) and the black one is the shell which i am exploring to buy it.

It would be great if someone can review and tell me whether black color shell would be suitable for my car.

Yes the black body/red wheels car does appear to be the correct body for a 1935 ARQ Ruby mk 1. It has mk2 wheels, but the body is correct.

During production of the Arq there were some changes in how the body panels were fastened to each other. My early ARQ has some panels rivetted to each other, while later ARQs use more spot-welds, but this shouldn't matter to you.
