Curiosity calling KP4022 - ghce - 09-02-2024

Hi I had noted a nice 1929 Austin 16/6 that had sold some years ago but checking its registration status and MOT seems to be not driving around, I am guessing in someone's collection.
Does anyone know of its whereabouts?

Graeme

I don't know where or when you checked, Graeme, but I've just checked the DVLA website and that shows the 16 is currently taxed (to August 2024) so it seems to be alive and well! It might be worth contacting the Vintage Austin Register.

Yes sorry tax is up to date just not the wof, according to https://www.checkcardetails.co.uk/cardetails/KP%204022.

Are you sure that is a sensible site to use?

In the UK we don't have wof, it is the MoT,cars over 40 years old are exempt

Not sure how long ago this was, but presumably this is the time you saw it being sold?

Yes that's the one, I am in NZ so not too familiar with the wof situation in the UK, unfortunately we here in NZ don't have a wof exemption Sad so that explains the error in my thinking it was no longer on the road.
Had seen an earlier web page listing it also.
Very few of these surviving in such well kept original condition hence my interest, unlike 7's which are still prolific with existing ones going thru all manner of metamorphic change as the years go by lol.
