Dizzy screw - morrisminor - 17-04-2023

Does anyone have or can spare the screw that goes from the dynamo into the distributor to stop it lifting.  (Half thread half plain)
Or what size is the thread and would a completely threaded one suffice ?
Thanks all

A complexly threaded bolt will do the job.

Original thread 6mm may have been tapped out to 1/4bsf you need the plain end to engage the slot in the distributor. Terry.

It should have been completely. I have no idea what happened. I can’t get used to autocorrect or predictive text. Sorry about that.

I think he meant to say completely threaded bolt.

Quite! Thank you Ivor.

That could be an item for pedant's corner. The difference between a bolt and a set screw...

RE: Dizzy screw - David Stepney - 17-04-2023

OK, Bruce. A completely threaded setscrew if you must, or is that tautologous?
