Interesting special for sale - Malcolm Parker - 13-04-2022

H & H are auctioning an interesting Austin 7 special.  Details are on the Carandclassic site.  Guide price £9,000.
We may have discussed this previously but is this the special formerly owned by Neville Barr which features on two months of the current PWA7C calendar?
I'm not interested in buying it, just nosey!

RE: Interesting special for sale - Mike Costigan - 13-04-2022

As Steve says, it could well be Neville's old car, but if so it's been pretty heavily reworked. Neville's car had an A30 radiator grille integral with the front panel, with the bonnet opening being set back rather than overlapping the front as here, the headlight pods were much smaller, and the cockpit opening is significantly different. But I'm going on how the car looked nearly sixty years ago; a lot can have happened in the meantime! It's been re-registered, so that doesn't give us a clue.
