Petition to stop E10 fuel - Nick Salmon - 16-12-2021 Probably way too late, and highly unlikely to carry any weight - but it made me feel better signing it. https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/596189 RE: Petition to stop E10 fuel - Duncan Grimmond - 16-12-2021 As it’s been planned for years it is far too late unfortunately! It will not attract attention without a minimum of 100,000 signatures and even then the chances of a Parliamentary debate are slim to non-existent. It’s a done deal. However, trying to get special dispensation for vintage and PVT vehicles might be worth a go? I’m learning to live with it and will be draining my tanks for winter. Does anyone have a contact for affordable avgas? RE: Petition to stop E10 fuel - Malcolm Parker - 16-12-2021 In our area Bagby Airfield (AKA Bagby International) is the place. RE: Petition to stop E10 fuel - AustinWood - 16-12-2021 We are having absolutely no problems with E10 nor do we anticipate any. But it's not legal to use it on the road. My local airfield keep a register of purchasers, and you have to sign that it's not going to be used in a road car. Charles RE: Petition to stop E10 fuel - Mike Costigan - 16-12-2021 My elderly 'modern' is supposedly OK with E10 fuel, but monitoring the fuel consumption over the last few months shows about a 10% increase since the E10 introduction; E5 is readily available round here at a 7% mark-up, so I'll be using that in future. RE: Petition to stop E10 fuel - Bill Dixon - 16-12-2021 If we use E5 in modern cars the longer it will remain on sale. RE: Petition to stop E10 fuel - AustinWood - 16-12-2021 On the continent Super unleaded is E10. I expect it will be the same here soon. |
