A Merry Christmas Card. A Vintage saloon - and vintage skis - Tony Griffiths - 08-12-2021

Which is harder to control a top-heavy, plate-glass equipped 1928 saloon - or a  pair of extra-long,  wooden skies with leather-strap binding and without a steel edge?

Ingenious Germans, ever ready to deal with their regular winter conditions. We don't seem to get the snow we had in my youth and outdoor skating is a distant memory. I think that the last time our local pond froze adequately must be about 10 or 12 years ago and that was the first time in 7 years! I go up every time we get a couple of nights' hard frost in hope.

I recommend ear muffs in a Seven. Mine was good for another 500 rpm with muffs.

Bob, my race car has a switch so you can turn the rev counter off when you need to. More effective than ear muffs.
