Trokart Austin 7 engine use - JonE - 08-11-2021

Could someone please confirm that this definitely isn't a vintage Seven engine, and is more likely to be a mini type unit? Or any more information to support that it could be?

Could be 7 looks sidevalve and there is a plate where the petrol pump goes

very interesting. There is a body of correspondence between Trokart and an Ulster owner about a purchase of a kart, and I'm only now realising what the potential could have been... if the film stacks up.

Not sure about the engine but the trokarts were definitely a thing back in the day. This site has some great period pictures, none with an A7 engine though.

looks Austin 7 to me. Judging by the blanked mechanical pump hole, a late coil job

You have to remember the 750 club boys would have a go at anything.
So a Seven engine in a cart why not just to see what happens.
