hand brake help - Vancevr - 29-09-2021

I have a 1929 chummy and was wondering if it was weird if when i step on the brake pedal it stops the front and back wheels. Same with the hand break lever. It was also relocated to further back than the original hole. Is this normal. The person I bought it from said that he saw pictures of other sevens with the hand brake in that spot. I know that the hand brake is supposed to stop the front and the pedal stops the back or vise versa. any thoughts?

it sounds like someone has converted the chassis to coupled brakes, or it a latter chassis than you think it is.

the coupled brake handbrake is located around 1 inch further back than the earlier uncoupled brake system.

tony.

I'm pretty sure the chassis is the correct one. But I could be wrong. If it isn't hurting anything then I will leave it alone.
