No idea where but must be 1956 or later due to the A35 in the foreground. I don't get the significance of a George 5th tanner though. He pegged it in 1936.

Might I suggest Market Square, Stow on the Wold, pub sign for the Talbot on the left a bit of a give away. Now I really must get out more…

I think it's somewhere about 1957 or '58, judging from the F series Vauxhall Victor parked outside the 'Kings Arms' The Victor was introduced in '57.

The eBay seller of the postcard put it there....it was fun getting rid of it.... he chose an easy part to blank out.

The card was posted in 1965 - but clearly printed some years earlier.
