Chassis/Body Felt - RupertW - 05-04-2021

Hello all,

I have a few questions on the felt that goes between the body and the chassis. Currently my Chummy project has rubber strips, but I'm concerned these will trap water, so I'm looking to put the correct felt in.

Should the felt only extend along the main chassis rails, or does it extend along the extensions as well?
Following on from that, can anyone tell me the correct length per side? (I don't have the car on hand to measure currently).
Finally, is it worth soaking the felt in oil on fitting to avoid corrosion forming?

Any advice much appreciated.
Thanks all

I soak the felt in Waxoyl before fitting it - for a SWB car you will need 6' for the chassis tops and a further 3' if you want to do the extensions too.
