With cliimate changes consumerism will have to end. Cars will be preserved and especially pre electronic pre computer petrol ones which can be fixed forever and run to avoid the tedious time inefficent limitations of elctric vehicles.
I saw a Youtube clip recently of a UK wreckers yard about 1960. Cars were routinely burned out in the open air before crushing.
