A great film with number of scenes filmed locally to where I lived in Farnham Common . The One Pin and the Yew tree pubs that I used on occasion . Purely for medicinal purposes.

I love the film Genevieve,The harmonica brilliant and the cast,well the men so childish and funny.
Never tire of watching it.
Another film on the same lines is" The fast lady" featuring a vintage Bentley starring Stanley Baxter and Leslie Philips .

I heard Larry Adler play "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes" live in Trafalgar Square in 1990.
I will never be quite sure if he knew in advance that protesters were about to set fire to the South African Embassy...

I have read that the Genevieve driver could not drive prior the film.
Talking to him about the film, I recall a fellow small schoolboy knowingly repeat to me the line "make love to me". As was not uncommon in the manner of the time, I did not understand his intrigue!!
A delightful film; probably cost next to nothing to make. Unlike today no gratuitous sex, crude language.Spoiled slightly by the silly mechanical explosions.
