Can anyone help please. I have cut down a fifties British pre Focus headlight reflector to fit in a 6 1/2 inch Ruby headlight bowl and with the correct Ruby glass. The bulb has a cutout to locate in the reflector/bulbholder but I need to know which way up the reflector should sit, in the car. Should the notch in the bulb be to the top, the bottom, or to one side?

On mine, the notch is at the bottom.

The important thing is to end up with the dip filament above the main filament. Put the bulb in and set the reflector afterwards.
