Penrite oil - Simon Anderson - 14-04-2020

Hello from Australia,
I have been running Penrite Heritage light oil in my chummy and was thinking of shifting to Penrite Shelsley light, to help with the sludge buildup in the sump.
It has a very low detergent apparently.
Is this a good or bad thing?

Thanks Simon

Simon,

The Penrite listing advises the Heritage series is for pre 1920 cars.

For Austin Sevens which are post 1922 always use Penrite Shelsley as recommended.
