The Book of the Austin 7 - a new dustjacket - Tony Griffiths - 31-03-2020

Repeated in another thread complete with lettering on the spine ( https://www.austinsevenfriends.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?tid=4151&pid=44012&highlight=dust+jacket#pid44012 ) but here just in case it's missed
Cleaned back and front covers of The Book of the Austin 7.
There are three different very high-resolution downloads that could be printed out as dustcovers; No.3 has flaps, but all could be manipulated in Photoshop or similar and made to fit.

Tony do you have scans of the spine?  It would be nice to include it in a replacement dust wrapper. It says 'the book of the austin seven' and includes a publishers logo and curiously 'cash prize in great britain'. My copy has also a black square which may be aftermarket for a library numbering system. This is the 35 edition.

No- and that shiny new dust-cover is much too posh to put among my rather timeworn originals (and a few other copies)

In the 1960s I ran my car on a set of 3 electrode NOS plugs as the illustration. With the later head and using about 1 pint per 300 miles in main road running, it would sometimes miss a beat or two when opening out.

This dust cover is from the 1935 edition of 'Pitmans'

If anyone has a 1200 d.p.i scan of the spine, I can add it. How many editions were there - and did the cover change?

This is the cover of the 1959 reprint...

There seem to have been at least four editions and twelve reprints....

The early Goodwin pre war edition is rather different in content to the later Staton Abbey  edition.
