High chassis, rubber foot crankcase - Geoff101 - 26-01-2020 Afternoon, As those of you on the Facebook group have seen, I've ended up (through a lack of knowledge) building up my engine into the wrong crankcase. A mistake I can ill afford. I'm looking into the options to resolve or mitigate but I would be interested either way in buying the proper crankcase for my car. It's a 1934 RP saloon and I now know that I need the much less common pre-ruby rubber foot crankcase that means the engine sits lower at the back. Hedd is sorting me out a picture which I'll add on here. The engine number may be around the M193xxx but I'm told this isn't necessarily true. I want one in decent condition. Front bearing lip will be done anyway so I'm not worried about that and a few threads needing helcoils isn't an issue. Any help gratefully received! Cheers Geoff |
