3rd brush direction? - Graham Honnor - 01-01-2020

Happy New Year to you all.

Just been to our New Year day meeting at Weston under Penyard and noticed that the dynamo is putting out nearly 10 amps on the winter setting.
Could somebody please remind me as to which direction the 3rd brush needs to be moved to lower the output?
Is it in the direction off rotation or against it please?
The engine is a 2 bearing Ruby one.

Many thanks for your time.

Graham.

Graham, against the direction of travel to decrease output.

Thank you Bill much appreciated.
I'll pop out there now and have a play.

Older dynamos find their way onto later engines. The 4 pole model (no welch plug in end) require slackening of a lock screw before the brush can be moved.
