Another mess I have got myself in - restorer - 04-11-2019
I took the starter handle of my 1927 Chummy to a welder friend and asked him to build up the worn bits and gave him my unworn starter nut as a guide. A week later He gave me the jiffy bag with handle in and I did not look in the bag until a couple of days later and found he had welded both parts together. I may be able to save one but the question is which ?.
Any advice would be very welcome And as anyone got a starter handle or starter nut for sale or both or know where to get them ( looking at weld he had left quite a gap so I think he got 100 percent penetration)

Save the friend and junk the handle??
