Cast Iron Clutch Linings - Winston Teague - 29-09-2019 Some (many?) years ago i bought a pair of cast iron clutch linings from John Sutton, having worn out the pair that came from Reg Nice decades before. A new generation of Teague whose genes are likely to include traits of heavy footedness needs a pair for his motor. Is there a known source? If not I shall have to make some, in which case is there demand from others to facilitate a batch? All the best, Winston RE: Cast Iron Clutch Linings - Ruairidh Dunford - 29-09-2019 Rob Beck and Andrew Goodfellow have made these for others recently, worth a try if you have contact. RE: Cast Iron Clutch Linings - Charles P - 29-09-2019 I've made some recently from old brake discs (just fitted them today actually). Not difficult but modern brake discs are made from tough stuff and it's a messy job. It's particularly unpleasant going through the ventilation slots! Charles RE: Cast Iron Clutch Linings - Robert Foreman - 29-09-2019 If you use Ford Fiesta ones they are unvented. With care you can trepan and make two per disc. RE: Cast Iron Clutch Linings - Winston Teague - 01-10-2019 Thanks chaps, Robert do you know which fiesta it is? Do you part off a slice? W |
