HI,
I am with zeto regarding the woodruff key,
and i think you will need to remove all the gears as there is damage on the crank gear .

Hi
I was always taught that a key is for alignment and not for driving unless a tapered key.
The gear should be proud of the crankshaft, so when the dog is tightened the gear is clamped against the bearing and dog.
It is not a case of just buy a replacement gear as they came in different sizes and were matched to the machining of the gear case.
If the damage is just a chip on the edge then just Dremel it smooth and leave alone.
Many thanks.
Adrian.
