99760 heading back to the road - Martin Cutler - 07-05-2019

Back in 1981 I bought an Austin 7 which was just a chassis.  With the help of the guys in the austin 7 Club of NSW I built a special, and had a lot of fun running in regularity at race tracks around Sydney, Amaroo Park, Oran Park, Wakefield, Eastern Creek, and Winton in Victoria. I always drove to the track and back home, except one meeting at Catalina Park, Katoomba, when I over revved and a pin fell out of a valve.  Swapped to collets after that.  The last race was in 1999, and it has sat in the shed for 20 years, time to hit the road again.  Big crank, 37 head, 4 speed box, boattail body, lots of modifications.

Will try and upload some photos for you.  Only thing missing at the moment is a speedo cable.  Got some groovy 16 inch harley sidecar tyres for the right price, the old dunlops had fossilised.

Will keep you posted as it comes back to life.

Cheers from Sydney
Martin
