Enclosed scan of the Spare Parts list no: 353p showing the bracket, part number BG24.

My original early 1929 Australian Fabric Saloon (I won't call it an RF because even though a 'wide' door, the front and rear side windows are similar in size) has a Benjamin Horn BG 23 mounted on the bonnet bar with a bracket BG 84 similar to that used for the Rist Horn  


The Rist Horn would have been common by this date but as I say waste not want not at Longbridge. 


This same bracket would have briefly been used to mount it on the cylinder head.

The Major's flying experience, especially if in skittish rotaries, would hqve been ideal training for a Seven.

It would be interesting to know the basis of the Trial and how such varied cars were compared.


I dunno exactly when petrol pumps became common, but into the 1920s, even in towns, cars were filled from 4 gal tins, often by stabbing them into a large funnel.
